Terms and Conditions

General Terms

Rates are based on a per person sharing or per person single per night basis.
Rates are in South African Rands (ZAR) and inclusive of VAT.
All rates are subject to change without prior notice.
Rates exclude additional services not specified.
Proof of South African Citizenship is required for the South African Resident special to apply.
Agents and Guests can contact us directly for our South African specials.
Early check-in and late check-out can be arranged by prior arrangement.

Kosher Disclaimer

We do not allow Kosher self supervised by guests at 18 On The Hill. Our dedicated Kosher Kitchen remains locked unless a vetted, qualified and trained Mashgaich, Kosher Supervisor, is present for the duration of the guests' stay. It is important to us to maintain strict Kosher standards, to ensure we can be trusted by our Kosher guests.

Our dedicated Kosher Kitchen remains locked unless a vetted, qualified and trained Mashgaich, Kosher Supervisor, is present for the duration of the guests' stay. It is important to us to maintain strict Kosher standards, to ensure we can be trusted by our Kosher guests.
Kosher meals and charges are included in our Kosher package rate. If the Kosher rate is not booked at least 5-7 days before guests' arrival, it will not be available for the guests' stay. We are unable to accommodate last-minute Kosher bookings where we have to arrange for a Mashgiach.
The Kosher rate excludes additional Kashering if requested by guests.
If a booking falls over Shabbat, a shorter game drive / safari on Friday or a Saturday night drive can be arranged on request.

Child Policy

Children under 2 stay free, and can be accommodated in a camp cot on request. Children under 12 pay 50% of the adult sharing rate. Children between 12 and 18 pay 70% of the adult sharing rate. 18 years and older are adults and pay the full adult rate.

Child Disclaimer

The lodge is happy to accommodate families, however, children are the responsibility of the parents, even when taking part of our kids programme. Please note there are plunge pools in the room, and our suites are raised high above ground. Children cannot be left unattended at all times during your stay. Child minding services can be arranged prior to guests arrival. Children are permitted on drive, but it is at the discression of our rangers and management as to not impact the experience for our other guests. Children under 16 are not permitted on bush walks.

Booking Policy

On confirmation of a booking, a 30% deposit is required to secure.
30 days prior to arrival, full payment is due.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be sent in writing. Penalties are calculated on the total.
More than 30 days before check-in = 30% Cancellation fee.
Less than 30 days before check-in = 100% Cancellation fee.
